Outlook Express Version 6 web site
A basic spam filtering example.


Assumptions:
That you have a fresh install of Outlook Express, or that you have no email filters in operation. Or that you will be capable of adapting your present setup.

Step 1:
Create a new folder for emails. This could be "Spam". This can be a sub folder of "Inbox" or it's own folder. I use right click on left pane to bring up the pop up menu.
Step 2:
While inside the "Create Folder" window just name the new folder "Spam" and hit OK.
Step 3:
Next in your "Tools" menu there is a option for "Message Rules", you want to choose the "Mail" option under that.
Step 4:
You will get a "New Mail Rule" window, where you first check in the 1 box, "Where the To line contains people". You can also scroll down and find CC.
Step 5:
In the 2 box, check "Move it to the specified folder.".
Step 6:
Click on the highlighted "contains people".
Step 7:
In the "Select People" window. Enter your email address, and click add. Then Step 8.
Step 8:
Click on the Options button. This brings up a "Rule Condition Options" window.
Step 9:
Click on the "Message does not contain the people below" the "Rule Condition" will change appropriately. Click OK. And OK in "Select People Window".
Step 10:
Now in the "New Mail Rule" window click "specified folder". This will bring up a "Move" window.
Step 11:
Select your "Spam" folder. It is inside your "Inbox" group.
Step 12:
Name your Rule and your done. Hit OK. All your BCC'ed email will fall into the spam folder.
